The Red Lion
45 King Street
Market Rasen
LN8 3BB01673 842424
Despite being closed for over a year, The Red Lion has been lovingly restored by Tom Wood to further reflect his passion for real ale. The cask-cellar operation can easily be viewed by visitors holding such an interest, due to the good-sized window installed in the main bar area.

With a nod to the nostalgic, a number of old metal signs adorn the walls and an upright Woodbine Cigarette machine provides a further ‘blast from the past!’
When visiting on those cold autumn and winter evenings, the open fires provide that welcoming country feel while the large bar area makes for much natural light during the summer months.
This discerning market town pub follows in the Tom Wood’s tradition having a range of real ale options always available with other premium products on hand for those feeling a little more continental! Cask-conditioned ciders are also stocked as it is not always appropriate to survey one or more of the large malt whiskey range!
The Red Lion is an oasis of calm which is well worth a visit after a hectic day or as a welcome addition to the race meeting itinerary being less than 5 minutes from the famous racecourse.
