The Tom Wood's Brewery stands peacefully in a fold of the Lincolnshire Wolds, surrounded
by rich farming land that has for centuries provided the finest quality Malting Barley for use in the brewing of fine beers. It was with grain from these very fields and in the highest local traditions that the Wood brothers were inspired to hand craft their own fine ales, founding Highwood Brewery in 1995.
Originally producing around 5000 pints per week for customers within a 40 mile radius, Tom's original intention was to produce beer on one or two days of the
week, delivering and collecting orders on the other days!
The brewery tripled capacity in 2001 with the introduction of a larger brewplant. More recent increases in output and the acquisition of a rival wholesale business in Grimsby, have enabled the company to supply a full range of regional and national keg, cask and bottled products to customers throughout Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. A range of six core brands is augmented by monthly specials and an extensive guest beer list featuring cask ales from microbreweries around the UK.
